Newly opened in November of 2006, the National Museum of the Marine Corps offers an array of permanent and temporary exhibitions chronicling the history and culture of military life. It's located in Virginia's small town of Triangle, about 40 miles south of Washington, D.C. Visitors can peruse a photo collection in the Global War on Terrorism gallery, experience a virtual boot camp in the Making Marines gallery, and even view an abbreviated chronology of the Marine Corps as depicted by artists throughout history.

the museum is great!absolutely free and very all round interesting and moving.it's brand new and the facilities are clean and well mananged.if you have any interest in military history,marines or just like cool stuff,i highly recommend it!
